Clash of Clans B.O.B Not Unlocked: Check the Four Builder Base Tasks

Builder Hall 9 makes B.O.B progression available, but reaching that level does not finish the unlock. Open the B.O.B building in Builder Base and check all four task counters. B.O.B is the extra builder you are working toward for Home Village.

Find the unfinished requirement

• Home Village gear-ups: the requirement is three. Ordinary building upgrades are not the gear-up task.
• Builder Base troop: one troop must reach level 18. You do not need every troop at that level.
• Builder Base defense: one defense must reach level 9. Raising Home Village defenses does not satisfy this Builder Base requirement.
• Builder Base heroes: their levels must total at least 45. This is a combined total, not a demand for one level-45 hero.

Add hero levels before choosing another upgrade

For example, Battle Machine level 22 plus Battle Copter level 21 gives 43. You need two more combined levels to reach 45. Compare the remaining upgrade costs and times shown in your game before choosing where those levels will come from.

If you have just started an upgrade, use the B.O.B task counter to judge what the game has credited. Do not assume that paying for an upgrade means every task has registered it. Keep track of the displayed level, target level and remaining timer when investigating a mismatch.

Finish the B.O.B building, not a different bot

Once the requirements are satisfied, follow the available upgrades on the B.O.B building until its progression is complete. Supercell ties the Home Village builder to fully upgrading that building, not merely reaching Builder Hall 9.

O.T.T.O helps in Builder Base from Builder Hall 6. B.O.T.O also works in Builder Base and cannot be sent to Home Village. Neither bot substitutes for completing B.O.B’s four tasks.

If the unlock still looks stuck

1. Reopen the B.O.B task panel and identify the exact incomplete counter. Compare it with the relevant village, troop, defense or hero levels.
2. Check whether a B.O.B building upgrade is still available before spending resources on unrelated upgrades.
3. If the counter disagrees with completed upgrades, send support screenshots of the task panel and the relevant completed levels, together with your player tag. Describe what changed and when.
