Pawnbarian: a Puzzle Roguelike

Play chess-piece cards to move a lone warrior around a five-by-five dungeon board, capturing monsters by landing on their squares. Pawnbarian makes every destination a tactical choice: a move that removes one enemy can leave you exposed to another, while defensive card upgrades let you absorb attacks instead of avoiding them. Between floors, spend your earnings on healing or stronger cards, balancing immediate survival against later encounters. Six characters and three dungeons alter the rules, with additional difficulty modifiers and an endless challenge after a completed run. There are no permanent stat upgrades to grind between attempts.
