TiptapDB Privacy & Cookies
Last updated: 2 November 2026
1. Who is responsible
This notice covers tiptapdb.com and contact about TiptapDB. The controller is PANDOS PROSTA SPÓŁKA AKCYJNA, ul. Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej 3/27, 20-029 Lublin, Poland, KRS 0001119697, NIP 7123479274. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@tiptapdb.com.
2. Website, accounts and contributions
Delivering and protecting the website involves technical information such as your IP address, request time, requested resource, browser information and response or error status. We use this information to operate the service, investigate faults and prevent abuse.
If you create an account, we process the registration and profile information you provide, a password hash, sign-in information and your use of account features. Contributions, tier lists and votes are processed to provide those features. Information you choose to publish, including your displayed name and published contributions, is visible to other visitors. Do not include private information in public content.
When you contact us, we process your email address, message and attachments to handle the matter. Do not send passwords, API keys or sensitive information unnecessary for your request.
Providing account or contact information is voluntary, but we may be unable to provide the requested account feature or reply without the necessary information. Browsing public information does not require an account.
3. Cookies and privacy choices
Cookies and similar browser storage can support sign-in, security, voting and privacy choices. Session cookies support the current visit; an optional remember-me cookie supports persistent sign-in. When you use guest helpful voting, the tiptap_helpful_browser cookie identifies the browser to limit duplicate votes; it is not a login credential and is set for up to one year. A hashed identifier is used for voting records.
We use Google's Privacy & messaging service to request applicable consent or privacy choices and record them. Use Privacy choices on this website to reopen the available message. Where a message is not available for your location or browser, you can contact us about your choices. You can also remove cookies in browser settings; this can sign you out, reset preferences or affect voting. Removing a cookie does not itself delete records already held by us or Google.
Optional analytics is separate from advertising choices. Refusing analytics does not prevent access to public content. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
4. Google advertising
The website includes Google AdSense code and Google's consent-message service. Google and advertising partners may process cookies or other identifiers, IP addresses, browser and device information, page context and interactions to deliver and measure advertising and prevent fraud. Processing can occur when advertising code loads even if no visible ad is shown. Non-personalised or limited advertising does not mean that no information is processed.
Where personalised advertising is used, Google and other vendors may use cookies based on visits to this and other websites. The applicable Google message provides information about advertising purposes and partners and lets you make the choices available to you. You can also manage personalised Google advertising through My Ad Center.
See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Advertising consent and other applicable privacy choices govern the relevant uses; this notice does not replace those choices.
5. Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is prepared but is not currently enabled on TiptapDB. When enabled, it will help us understand visits and improve public pages. Our integration waits for an explicit analytics-consent grant from the Google consent message before loading the Analytics tag. If that signal is unavailable, declined or not configured, our integration does not load Analytics.
Consented Analytics may process browser identifiers and cookies, device and browser information and visit or interaction information. Google receives network information, including an IP address, when requests reach its services. Our integration limits page reporting to selected public pages and does not deliberately send account identifiers, email addresses, search terms or URL query strings. This is not a claim that Google's separate advertising and consent-message services make no requests before analytics consent.
You can withdraw analytics consent through Privacy choices. This stops subsequent collection by our integration; it does not automatically remove information already collected. Contact us about requests concerning that information. Analytics consent is not required to use the website.
6. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing requested account and contribution features: performance of our agreement or steps you request before it, under GDPR Article 6(1)(b), where necessary.
- Website operation, security, abuse prevention, ordinary enquiries and handling or defending claims: our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f). You may object on grounds relating to your particular situation.
- Optional analytics and other processing requiring consent: Article 6(1)(a). Consent for storing or accessing information on your device is obtained where required by applicable law.
- Meeting applicable legal obligations and responding to lawful requests: Article 6(1)(c).
Advertising purposes, partners and the applicable consent or other choices are described in the Google privacy message. We do not treat agreement to our Terms as consent to optional analytics or advertising.
7. Recipients and international processing
Service providers supporting hosting, email and technical operation may process information needed for those services. Google and the advertising partners identified through the applicable message receive information associated with their services. Published content is available to the public. We may disclose necessary information to competent authorities where required by law or to parties assisting with a specific legal claim.
Google services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Information about Google's responsible entities and applicable transfer safeguards is available in Google's Privacy Policy. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. We do not represent that all processing takes place in Poland or the EEA.
8. Retention
Our retention policy sets these maximum periods for information under our control:
- Technical website logs: up to 30 days from the event.
- Ordinary correspondence: up to 12 months after the matter is closed.
- Backups: a cycle of up to 30 days. Information deleted from the primary system may remain in a backup until that cycle ends; backups are for recovery, not routine use.
- Account and contribution records: while needed to provide the account or feature, then only as necessary to handle deletion requests, preserve lawful public content, prevent abuse or meet the specific legal needs described below. Contact us to request deletion; deleting browser cookies does not close an account.
- Browser cookies: for their stated purpose until expiry or earlier removal. The guest voting cookie's maximum is stated in section 3. Google's message and linked information explain its cookies and choices.
If a particular record is necessary to investigate an incident, fulfil a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend a claim, we retain only the necessary information for the period justified by that matter or the law, then delete it when that need ends.
The log, correspondence and backup periods above do not prescribe Google's separate retention or the Analytics property's configured retention. The prepared Analytics integration uses session-only analytics cookies; it is not active. We will state the configured Analytics data retention before enabling collection. See Google's retention information. You can contact us about retention and deletion of information relating to you.
9. Your rights and contact
Subject to applicable law and its conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Email support@tiptapdb.com. We may request information needed to verify the request without asking for unnecessary identification documents.
You may complain to a competent supervisory authority, including Poland's President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). A request to TiptapDB does not automatically delete a Google account or information independently held by another service.
A parent or guardian who believes a child's information has been submitted inappropriately may contact us. Do not send the child's identity document with the initial enquiry.
10. Updates
The current notice is available on this page with its update date. Material changes will be explained as appropriate. If new processing requires consent, we will request it before that processing begins.
