About This Game
GALAST - Online Board Games brings chess, shogi, mahjong and other tabletop classics into a shared space-themed collection. Rather than downloading a separate app for every game, you move between different rulesets and opponents within one galaxy.
What you can play
The collection includes chess, Go, Reversi, shogi, Gomoku, Daifugo, Koi-Koi, solitaire and puzzles, alongside three-player and East-round mahjong. Pool players can choose 8-ball or 9-ball. Real-time online matches, private rooms with friends and AI opponents give you different ways to practise or compete.
How progression works
Games are represented as planets. You unlock planets with keys and use earned coins to develop them, with upgrades affecting rewards. The launch announcement describes an initial allocation of 30 keys, enough to unlock three planets at 10 keys each. Start with games you already know before spending keys on unfamiliar rulesets. Missions and rankings add goals across the collection.
Availability and cost
The full service launch was announced for November 2, 2026. Android is available through Google Play, with ads and optional in-app purchases, and supports Android 7.0 or later. As checked on November 7, the Japanese App Store listing still gives November 13, 2026 as its expected release date, so iOS availability should not be assumed from the Android launch. Check your local store before downloading.
GALAST is a good fit if you enjoy switching between familiar board and card games and want both friendly matches and AI practice. Its unlock and reward systems mean access to the entire collection is something to check in-game, rather than assuming every planet is open immediately.
