Cartographers

Cartographers asks you to fill a gridded map with forests, villages, fields, water, and unwelcome monsters. Each revealed exploration card supplies terrain and shapes that you place to satisfy four scoring decrees. Different pairs of decrees score across the seasons, so a placement that helps immediately may need to support a later objective too. Ruins and existing terrain constrain your options, while ambush cards introduce monster spaces that should be surrounded to reduce penalties. The digital adaptation handles scoring and offers three modes with different levels of randomness, plus weekly challenges comparing completed maps. The base game is paid, with an optional Heroes expansion sold separately.
