The Fox in the Forest

The Fox in the Forest is a two-player trick-taking game where winning every hand can be a mistake. Play thirteen cards each round, using their ranks and special abilities to control which tricks you take and which you leave to your opponent. Odd-numbered cards introduce fairy-tale characters whose powers can change a trick's outcome or determine who leads next. Your score depends on how many tricks you collect, rewarding restraint rather than unchecked dominance. Choose the target score to adjust match length and learn to exploit the cards still in your hand. Eight challenge scenarios add customized rules that test different approaches to the game.
