The Castles of Burgundy puts you in charge of developing a noble estate in fifteenth-century France. Two dice determine the actions available each turn, but you decide how to combine buildings, livestock, trade, and research into a productive plan. Different estate layouts encourage different approaches, while several scoring routes let you adapt when an opponent takes something you wanted. Balance immediate points against improvements that make later turns more effective.
