HackEm turns a hacker’s revenge story into a combination of real-time base building and tower defense. Each randomly generated map contains data sources, and the objective is to construct a base capable of extracting information from all of them. Expansion also creates territory that must be protected while waves of security drones attack. Build turrets and adjust your defenses to the threats approaching your infrastructure. Completing missions earns credits for unlocking weapons and improving equipment, giving later attempts more options. The central challenge is balancing progress toward the remaining data sources against the immediate demands of keeping the base secure.
