Game Dev Tycoon starts with a small game company in the 1980s. Choose the subjects and genres of your releases, decide where development effort should go and use game reports to learn from the results. Research opens up technology for later projects and custom game engines.

As the business grows, you can move into larger offices and hire and train staff. The mobile version includes an interface designed for touchscreens and an optional pirate mode that changes the business challenge. It is a paid game with no ads or in-app purchases.
