Overview and role
Peppy is a Chaos Control hero whose pressure combines uncertain crowd-control outcomes with reactive magic damage. Boldness makes the position of its recipient important: the sphere retaliates against nearby enemies when that ally takes damage. Frolic provides a more focused beam, while Trickster changes its damage unpredictably. She is therefore better assessed through the interactions she enables than by treating every cast as identical burst damage.
Reading the battle cycle
Watch who receives Boldness and which opponents are actually close enough to be hit. The skill is a short retaliation window, not proof of a conventional damage-absorption shield. Masquerade can produce different control effects, so a replay in which the desired opponent is disabled is not a guarantee of the next result. Check whether Peppy survives long enough to repeat her automatic skills before judging her contribution.
Partners and interactions
Cleaver is a reasonable partner to test because a nearby, frequently damaged front-line ally can create Boldness triggers. Chaos sacrifice teams also offer relevant interactions, but friendly health loss and enemy damage must not be assumed interchangeable without checking the actual effect. Aidan can help sustain sacrifice-based teams; the publisher identifies that healing relationship. These are mechanical reasons to test a composition, not a promise that any five Chaos heroes work together.
Limits and opposing pressure
Enemies outside the sphere's range will not necessarily take its retaliation. Disabling or removing Peppy before her next cast interrupts the plan, and inconsistent Masquerade or Trickster outcomes make a single successful replay weak evidence. Her control protection is not universal: nothing in these four base skills gives the whole team permanent immunity. If she occupies the last position, inspect attacks that reach the rear rather than only checking the front tank.
Development decisions
Magic Attack supports all three listed damage expressions, whereas Magic Penetration addresses magic mitigation. Survivability spending can be decisive if she otherwise dies before supplying another Boldness window. Compare a damage-oriented build against one that simply keeps the control cycle running. Do not buy upgrades on the assumption that Trickster is ordinary critical-hit chance: its multiplier belongs specifically to Frolic.
Artifacts
Ms. Whirligig provides team Magic Defense; Manuscript of the Void supplies Magic Penetration and Magic Attack; her ring supplies Intelligence. The weapon is defensive even though her skills are offensive. That can make its value depend on the opposing damage mix rather than Peppy's personal damage chart. The weapon activates with her ultimate, so examine whether that protection arrives during the enemy's meaningful magic window.
Glyphs and skins
Her listed glyphs are Magic Penetration, Magic Attack, Health, Intelligence and Magic Defense. Catalogue examples include Lunar for Magic Penetration, Sweettooth for Magic Attack, Champion for Health and Demonic for Armor, alongside her Intelligence default skin. Treat these as stat choices, not a purchasing order. Appearance selection does not remove other owned skin bonuses, and catalogue presence does not establish today's acquisition route.
Talismans
Jester has Intelligence as its first-slot stat; Comedy has Health. The secondary catalogue pairs Jester with Magic Attack rolls, while the publisher's release notice confirms magical critical-hit chance alongside Comedy's Health. This creates a durability-versus-damage-profile comparison, not merely two interchangeable names. At hero level 120, compare the actual rolls owned and the number of useful casts achieved rather than assuming the newer talisman always wins.
Class and additional progression
Control class progression is separate from Peppy's four skills and can add a post-control slowdown and physical-damage reduction. It does not make every Masquerade outcome the same or turn Trickster into a fifth activated attack. No hero-specific Relic enhancement was certified in this review. Keep any later Relic or Realm tooltip in its own progression section instead of silently attaching it to the base sphere or beam.
