Lars at a glance
Lars is a Chaos Mage who combines movement, Water marks and lightning damage. His hurricane pulls opponents together, while Conductance improves his attacks against marked targets. Krista is the direct partner because she provides additional marks and a hazard that punishes movement. His identity is therefore a coordinated setup-and-payoff loop rather than simply a sequence of unrelated magic attacks.
Read the mark and movement windows
Observe which enemies actually receive Water marks before judging the damage or stun payoff. In manual modes, the hurricane can be timed around Krista’s ice field; automatic fights need their own timing checks. Chain Lightning and Lightning Bolt also have different targeting patterns. A hit on one marked enemy does not prove that every opponent benefited from the same setup.
Partners and interactions
Krista’s Frozen Needles supplies the clearest interaction: movement through the field causes damage, while both heroes contribute Water marks. A healer such as Martha can help the pair live through multiple cycles. The remaining slots should cover what the actual opponent exposes, not merely repeat an old five-hero list. Committing two slots to the Twins can make opening protection and control handling especially important.
When the pull is not an advantage
Displacement protection can reduce the hurricane’s positional payoff. Grouping opponents can also change proximity-based effects, so a successful pull is not automatically a successful fight. Lars remains vulnerable to interruption and back-line access, and his damage still has to pass the relevant magic defenses. The passive’s stronger stun modifier is not a new stun on every normal attack.
Investment reasoning
Magic Attack raises the reviewed damage expressions, while Magic Penetration improves delivery against Magic Defense. Survival development is useful if it buys the mark and hurricane cycle another opportunity. Compare Lars’s damage with the marks actually present: investing in attack cannot repair failed setup or a dead partner. Hero-level resistance thresholds and skill levels should be checked separately.
Artifacts
Stormy Talisman supplies team Magic Penetration. Manuscript of the Void develops Lars’s Magic Penetration and Magic Attack, while Ring of Intelligence develops Intelligence. The weapon is especially relevant to the timing of a magic team’s burst, but its team bonus is temporary. A high weapon number does not make the book’s personal stats a second active artifact effect.
Glyphs and skins
The reviewed glyphs are Magic Penetration, Health, Magic Attack, Magic Defense and Intelligence. Skin examples include Devil for Magic Penetration, Angel for Health, Cybernetic for Armor and Solar+ for Magic Attack. Choose durability or damage according to the observed failure. Skin bonuses stack regardless of the selected appearance, and a catalogue listing does not confirm today’s acquisition route.
Talismans
The publisher lists Frost with Intelligence and Tempest with Magic Attack. Community slot listings pair Frost with Magic Attack and Tempest with Armor. This creates a practical offensive-versus-physical-survival comparison rather than a universal best choice. Compare equipped rolls with the damage type that threatens Lars; the presence of Armor cannot solve a magic-control problem.
Keep class Energy separate
Mage class progression adds Energy independently of the four base cards. It can alter when the first hurricane appears, which in turn changes overlap with Krista’s field. Record class development when comparing timing between accounts. Realm troops and other progression systems should not be folded into Conductance or interpreted as an extra base skill.
