Overview and role
Kayla is a Chaos Warrior who moves into the enemy formation and turns a dangerous Health-loss cycle into close-range pressure. Her kit combines physical strikes, a pure-damage self-burning aura, threshold-based movement and a special revival relationship with Aidan. She should be evaluated as a dive-and-recovery attacker, not as an ordinary frontline unit that stays in one place. The same aggressive positioning that lets her reach multiple enemies also exposes her to concentrated retaliation.
Reading the battle cycle
Track Kayla's Health at the movement thresholds, where she lands and whether recovery actually lets her return to useful action. A dive that immediately forces retreat may have very different value from one that sustains the burning aura. Observe the damage taken since the previous Retaliatory Strike, not merely the largest hit in the fight. In manual modes, Phoenix's Fury can be considered for a damaged enemy cluster or fallen Aidan; her other skills still follow their own conditions.
Partners and interactions
Aidan is the clearest publisher-documented partner: he supports Kayla while she is inside the enemy team, and the pair can revive each other through their first skills. Chaos heroes can increase her named healing benefit, while the broader faction supports Health-sacrifice interactions. That does not mean any five Chaos heroes form a successful team. Ensure the lineup can survive the opening, recover from the self-damage and finish targets rather than repeatedly diving without converting pressure into a result.
Weaknesses and exceptions
Resurrection prevention can break the Aidan recovery plan, and healing denial can weaken the dive-and-retreat cycle. Area damage from Kayla can reach opponents such as Octavia even when direct targeting is restricted, as the publisher's combat FAQ explains; this is not universal target selection. Being surrounded is an offensive opportunity and a survival risk. A return attempt is not a guarantee of instant escape while movement or control prevents her from acting.
Development decisions
Health scales the reported burning aura and recovery, while Physical Attack supports her chakram and the retaliation cap. Those are different damage and survival inputs. Armor Penetration helps her physical components but should not be described as strengthening pure damage through Armor reduction. If she dies before useful burn time, diagnose the opening and support first; if she survives but cannot finish enemies, examine the damage component actually being resisted. No maximum-Health build or universal spending priority is imposed.
Artifacts
Phoenix Chakram supplies a Physical Attack weapon buff; Alchemist's Folio adds Armor Penetration and Physical Attack; Ring of Agility contributes Agility. The weapon can help an appropriate physical team during its active window, while the book supports Kayla's own physical hits. Neither should be presented as a direct multiplier of the Health-scaled pure burning formula. Compare the contribution of physical strikes and burn damage in the fights assigned to her before choosing the next artifact investment.
Glyphs and skins
Her documented glyphs are Health, Physical Attack, Armor, Agility and Magic Defense. Cybernetic offers Armor Penetration, Solar+ Physical Attack, Celestial Armor and Blazing Health. These are options from the reviewed catalogue, not a shopping recommendation or current-stock guarantee. Different skins address different parts of the dive: entry survival, physical pressure or Health-scaled effects. Do not conflate the base Solar skin with its enhanced Skin+ when comparing numerical screenshots.
Talismans
Memory has Agility and Retribution has Armor Penetration in the official talisman list. Both require hero level 120. For Kayla, compare not just the primary label but the full equipped result and which portion of her damage is winning fights. An increase in penetration can improve physical hits without changing the pure aura's defense interaction. A talisman is not a substitute for the healing and protection needed to make the dive last.
Class progression, Relics and Realm
Her Warrior class buff is separate from the damage stored for Retaliatory Strike. The publisher announced Kayla's Relic on December 26, 2025 for December 29, describing more damage and pressure against Armor. That establishes a separate progression feature, not verified current coefficients or a license to add every Relic effect to the base cards. Record the equipped Relic state when comparing battles, and keep Realm troop skills separate from this hero-combat profile.
