The Longing

The Longing asks you to accompany a solitary Shade while its underground king sleeps for 400 days. The countdown continues when the game is closed, but waiting is only one way to spend that time. Slowly explore a hand-drawn cave system, discover hidden passages, collect furnishings for your room, and read books inside the game. Some obstacles change only after time passes, turning patience into part of the puzzle solving. You may remain loyal to the king or search farther into the caves for other possibilities. Multiple endings and deliberately unhurried movement make observation and personal choices more important than reflexes.
