Sorcery! 3 opens the Baklands into a freely explored wilderness, with seven powerful serpents turning the crossing into a hunt for information and weaknesses. Rather than simply following a forward route, you can backtrack, investigate rumors, and approach encounters in different orders. Its defining puzzle is a network of time beacons that restores portions of the landscape to an earlier age. Redirecting their light changes routes and encounters, letting past and present coexist across the map. Finding the right approach to a serpent can matter more than winning a straightforward duel. Previous choices can be imported from Sorcery! 2, but this chapter also supports starting independently.
