Last Fortress: Underground

Last Fortress begins after survivors lose their old refuge and find shelter underground. You turn that refuge into a functioning base, choosing where facilities go and expanding the space available to your community. Power, communications and other practical systems give each new room a purpose.

The survivors are useful in different ways. Chefs, engineers, doctors and soldiers bring skills that need matching to the right work, while combat heroes form teams for threats beyond the shelter. That creates two connected questions: how to keep the base running and who to send outside.

Exploration provides resources, with camps extending your reach into the wasteland. Alliances add support from other players, including help with construction and research. The underground layout gives this strategy game a more visible home to organise than a simple cluster of buildings on a map. Purchases and random items are included, so keep a budget in mind while developing your survivors and teams.
