Gadget

HOSOMAKI HEALINGDetails

Immediately restores part of the damage Kenji took recently. Activate it after meaningful damage, before the recovery window or his remaining health runs out.

Star Power

NIGIRI NEMESISDetails

Prepares heavy protection against the next enemy attack after Kenji avoids damage for a while. Preserve it for the approach rather than wasting it on avoidable chip damage.

Gear 1

SHIELDDetails

Adds a consumable shield that recovers while the Brawler is at full health. Preserve recovery time between fights to restore the extra protection.

Gear 2

HEALTHDetails

Improves health recovery. Leave enough room for natural recovery to begin instead of expecting the Gear to erase damage during continued attacks.

Hypercharge

ALL YOU CAN EATDetails

Pulls nearby enemies toward the center of the Super and makes Kenji reappear there. The pull helps line up the cuts, but the changed return position also places him closer to the resulting fight.

How to play this build

Approach through cover while tracking whether Kenji's next attack is a dash or a slash. The dash changes your position; the slash does not offer the same escape. Nigiri Nemesis rewards avoiding damage before entering, so do not spend its prepared protection on a needless poke while waiting for the fight.

Commit when an opponent is reachable and there is room to disengage. Use Hosomaki Healing after a meaningful burst of recent damage, before the recovery opportunity passes. Shield supports the opening exchange, while Health makes a safe pause between engagements more productive. Together they favor repeated resets over remaining in every fight until someone falls.

Aim the crossing Super cuts at the opponent's likely movement. With All You Can Eat, account for Kenji reappearing at the Super's center rather than relying on his ordinary return position. This setup gives up a damage gear and the dash-only gadget, making disciplined approaches more important against enemies who can keep you at range.
