Subway Surfers keeps the goal easy to understand: stay ahead of the guard and his dog for as long as you can. Trains and obstacles fill the route, so the next swipe matters more than a complicated set of menus or a long explanation before you start.

The chase mixes quick reactions with collecting things along the way. Hoverboards and jetpacks change the feel of a run, while the cast includes familiar characters such as Jake, Tricky and Fresh. If you enjoy trying again after a mistake and seeing how much farther you can get, that repeatable challenge is the main reason to play.

Changing city settings and seasonal hunts give returning players new scenery and collection goals. The World Tour theme provides variety around the same running game, rather than asking you to learn a completely different set of controls each time.
